Very quiet place to live. Neighbors are extremely friendly and help each other. HOA can be a little obnoxious but overall a great place to live and raise children or retire.

Indian Lake is also one of the cleanest lakes in Pennsylvania and is great for boating, fishing, swimming, and water skiing during the spring and summer, and a scenic wonderland in the fall and winter.

However, as of May 2022, Lake Mead has reached its lowest water level since it was first filled in the 1930s due to a prolonged drought and over-allocation of water from the Colorado River. The deepest point is now around 400 ft (122 m) below the surface.

Lake Erie, of which part is in Pennsylvania, boasts a depth of 210 feet at its deepest point. Just behind Lake Erie are Raystown Lake and Cowanesque Lake, the second deepest lakes in Pennsylvania with the deepest point for each measuring 200 feet.

Six years after the dam's construction, the lake filled to an elevation of 1200 feet. At lower water levels, a high-water mark is visible in photos that show the shoreline of Lake Mead. The high-water mark is white because of the deposition of minerals on previously submerged surfaces.
