This is for the leaders and future leaders out there … I hope this really “hits” for some .. too many don’t realize real time and real elimination of fear are at the core of a great culture and a great culture creates great companies.. for many of you, you have less than 20 employees… you should be able to ace this .. share this with someone who owns a business or has a large team

Absolutely agree! Curiously - we expect people to turn-off their emotions at work, to be tough, to give and get unvarnished feedback with ease, and essentially to be less human.Yet experts in human relationships emphasize the importance of positivity, advocating for a ratio of three to five positive comments for every negative one. That’s because all of us register negative stimuli more readily than positive and dwell on these negative events longer. This is HARD-WIRED based on evolution. This negativity bias means that we feel the sting of a rebuke more powerfully than we feel the joy of praise. Have you ever felt the sting of a negative performance review? And the power dynamics at organizations magnify the impact of negativity, potentially eroding trust and stifling innovation.I advocate for all leaders to start using the 3:1 positive to negative ratio starting now! This doesn't mean sugar-coating. It just means knowing how our brains function and bringing more humanity into the workplace. Creating a culture where fear is minimized allows for innovation and growth to flourish.

People who feel appreciated always do more than what is expected. If you just go around telling people all the things they do wrong all the time and never tell them what you’d like to see instead or if you fail to celebrate milestones, even if it’s only one step closer to the finish line, you will kill that morale and you’ll lose people. No one keeps an App on their phone if they never win the game- the highest engagement comes from the little wins that add up over time. It’s smart business to keep people engaged with a brand- it’s smart leadership to keep employees engaged with the business.

You nailed it Gary! You cultivate what you are looking for in your business. If your system is to fix the broken you'll find broken things everywhere. If you focus on doubling down on what is working you'll see what is flourishing and encourage it to grow.

Fear plays a significant role in shaping our culture and organizational dynamics. While it’s true that fear can motivate action, it’s not always the most effective approach. Fear seems to permeate our society and culture today. Animals run from predators, and humans run from worries. Fear can wrap around a person like a bubble, blocking everything else.At a clinical level, excessive fear becomes an anxiety disorder, affecting one in four of us.As leaders, we have the power to shape our culture by promoting collaboration, adaptability, and resilience. Let’s create environments where fear doesn’t hinder growth but instead fuels innovation and progress.

That's the magic of the strengths-based approach. Looking and investing in what is хорошоand only managing the weaknesses to get them out of your way to success 💡 💪

Hey LinkedIn, getting some good feedback from marketers on this YouTube video..wanted to share with you all this fireside chat I had at Cannes Lions this year with Nicole Parlapiano, the CMO of Tubi. We talked about how companies can leverage social media platforms to get qualitative data and make relevant advertisem*nts. We also dive into how to market with small budgets...Sometimes having a smaller budget can lead companies to spend it more effectively and get better results than bigger companies. Hope you check it out and enjoy: 👉 https://lnkd.in/eVFMZGj6

In the business world, too many people think it’s all about being hard, tough, ambitious, or having grit.Yes, these things are important, but trust me — that’s not where we’re lacking as a collective. We have the “hard things” down... I think it’s actually the “soft things” that are harder to master, and I think kindness is a real foundation to why soft skills are so important in life and business. What people misunderstand about kindness is that a lot of it comes down to fear.People are scared that they’re gonna fail, that they’re gonna be taken advantage of, etc. So, instead of being kind, they throw their defenses up.Trust me, being kind isn’t a sign of weakness. The truth is, kindness is a strength that is greatly underrated.

We are all .. always … a work in progress … and that’s the best part …. There’s no end state my friends … just live your life … there will be good days, weeks, months and years and there will be tough days, weeks, months and years …. We are all and I mean all … always a work in progress… here’s the take away … stop beating yourself up if you aren’t in the “ideal place” … be grateful for the process .. any day you wake up is the day that can start your smiles and start to limit your frowns ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

Every day I see hundreds of people having the game backwards.People are lazy and passive daily but stressed and antsy yearly, while the way to do it is to be fast and antsy daily and patient yearly.

One of the greatest mistakes of my investing career was passing on investing in Uber in the angel round twice.I was literally in the room when Uber was invented. And yet I still passed on investing in the angel round .......Twice. And part of the reason I invested in the next round was because my brother AJ took the first Uber ride in New York City when the founder of Uber came and asked us to test it.And that was the moment I realized, Uber doesn't sell transportation,.. Uber sells us time. The reason all this infrastructure matters in an app environment is because it's just seamless, there's less friction. The number one emerging thing in society in value is time... people value time over everything.. which is why convenience and lack of friction win.

People will criticize you. They will say mean things, maybe even if hateful things because they’re jealous you’re getting out there and doing your thing. And that’s okay. It’s all okay. You’re doing you and they don’t affect that.Fear of failure is established early on, but next, it becomes fear of failure in front of whom. And when you figure out who that is, I would go talk to them. Straight up. Speak to them directly, face to face. You sit down with them. And this is what you say: “I’m about to do this thing, and the only reason I haven’t done it yet is because I don’t want to let you down. This is a long journey, and I know I’m going to make it in the end, but I just need to make sure that if I fail at one step, your response to that failure doesn’t crush me.”Because that’s really what it is. Make sure that person will bring you back up, not keep you down.

Never get too fancy to stop putting in the work on your craft.Just like great athletes who work their game in the off-season even after an all star season, I pride myself on the work ethic and the practical skills I keep developing daily. It’s action time …You all know what you need to do .. it’s time to actually do .. the talk time is over - go do .. show up .. put in the time and work and effort and don’t fear the failure ..Fear the regret of talking and never doing anything about it …You got this ..I believe in you ❤️♥️
