Head Start and Early Head Start are federally funded programs that provide comprehensive child development services for eligible children from birth to age five, as well as supportive service for their families. Head Start Programs provide child enrichment, education, health, nutritional and developmental services as well as parent education and involvement opportunities.  We have 6 Preschool Centers in Tuolumne County and one Early Head Start Center.</p>
<p>Position Definition:<br />
As a part of the ATCAA team, the Teacher assists the Lead Center Teacher in the planning and the implementation of a comprehensive State Preschool/Head Start/Early Head Start classroom, including the supervision of and interaction with young children in preschool or infant toddler center classrooms, working with other staff members to ensure that parents are supported as their role as primary teachers for their children and working with ATCAA staff to assure that delivery of services to children and families are carried out in a comprehensive, integrated, and coordinated manner.</p>
<p>Minimum Qualifications:<br />
• Completed 24 units ECE/CD. For Early Head Start classrooms, 6 of these units must be focused on infant and toddlers;<br />
• Teacher or Master Teacher Children’s Center Permit;<br />
• Be able to pass a full fingerprint/background check prior to hiring;<br />
• Two units completed in Adult Supervision;</p>
<ul>
<li>A.A./A.S. Degree in ECE/CD or related field and working toward an BS/BA degree in Early Childhood Education. For Early Head Start classrooms, 3 of these units must be focused on infant and toddlers;</li>
</ul>
<p>• Within the past 4 years, 175 days of 3+ hours per day working with children (for preschool classrooms, experience must be in preschool for infant toddler classrooms, experience must be with infant and toddlers);<br />
• Meet all federal/state licensing requirements and/or program requirements necessary for this position: possess a valid California driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, fingerprint clearance, TB Test, CPR, First Aid training, and health screening;<br />
• Lift 40 pounds;<br />
• Have reliable transportation</p>
<p>Additional Minimum Qualifications: Teacher III<br />
• Same requirements as Teacher II with a B.A./B.S. Degree with at least 24 units ECE/CD. For Early Head Start classrooms, 3 of these units must be focused on infant and toddlers.</p>
<p>Desired Qualifications:<br />
• Computer skills;<br />
• Ability to speak and understand Spanish;<br />
• Experience in the supervision and training of adults;<br />
• Knowledge of local community resources.</p>

Family Advocates also assist the management staff in all eligibility service areas to insure that services to children and families enrolled in the Early Childhood Services Preschool/Infant Toddler programs are provided in a comprehensive manner and the required documentation is completed.</p>
<p>Minimum Qualifications:<br />

<p>Position Definition:<br />
As a part of the ATCAA Early Childhood Services team, the Lead Center Teacher is responsible for the overall administration, planning, and implementation of the Service Area Plans and curriculum and supervision at the center level for preschool and/or infant toddler classrooms. The Lead Center Teacher is a team leader for all center staff to create a successful State Preschool/Head Start program for participating families. The Lead Center Teacher will teach in the classroom, supervise and mentor teachers, and facilitate parent involvement.</p>
<p>Minimum Qualifications:<br />
• A.A./A.S degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, and working toward a BS/BA degree with the ability to complete a BA/BS degree by 2015;<br />
• Be able to pass a full fingerprint/background check prior to hiring;<br />
• Successful completion of 105 clock hours of professional growth activities prior to permit expiration;<br />
• 24 units in Early Childhood Education;<br />
• For teachers in infant toddler program, a minimum of 3 units in a course relating to infants and toddlers;<br />

Head Start and Early Head Start are federally funded programs that provide comprehensive child development services for eligible children from birth to age five, as well as supportive service for their families. Head Start Programs provide child enrichment, education, health, nutritional and developmental services as well as parent education and involvement opportunities. Last year a total of 296 children participated in preschool programs in Amador and Tuolumne Counties.</p>
<p>Position Definition:<br />
As a part of the ATCAA team, the Associate Teacher assists teachers in the planning and the implementation of a comprehensive State Preschool/Head Start/Early Head Start classroom, including the supervision of and interaction with young children in preschool or infant toddler center classrooms, working with other staff members to ensure that parents are supported as their role as primary teachers for their children and working with ATCAA staff to assure that delivery of services to children and families are carried out in a comprehensive, integrated, and coordinated manner.</p>
<p>Minimum Qualifications: Associate Teacher I:<br />
• Completed 12 college units in ECE/Child Development. For Early Head Start: 6 units must be focused on infants and toddlers;<br />
• Working toward an AS/AA degree in Early Childhood Education.</p>
<p>Minimum Qualifications: Associate Teacher II:<br />
• A.A./A.S. degree, 24 college units in ECE/Child Development. For Early Head Start: at least 3 units focused on infant and toddlers;<br />
• Working toward BS/BA degree in Early Childhood Education.</p>
<p>Minimum Qualifications for both: Associate Teacher I &amp; II:<br />
• Be able to pass a full fingerprint/background check prior to hiring;<br />
• Associate Teacher or higher Children’s Center Permit;<br />
• Within the past 2 years, 50 days of 3+ hours per day working with children (preschool for preschool positions, infant toddlers for infant toddler positions;<br />
