-January is National Mentoring Month and we’ll continue our FNL Mentoring at Sonora and Summerville. Mentors (10th-12th grade) and protégés (7th-8th grade) are still welcome to join. Mentoring is held Tuesday nights from 6:00-8:00 for Sonora High and its feeder schools in the Sonora High cafeteria. Mentoring is held Tuesday nights from 6:00-8:00 for Summerville High and its feeder schools at Summerville High in room 202.
-January is National Human Trafficking and Slavery Prevention & Awareness Month. Sexual exploitation falls into this category. If you, or someone you know, is being held against their will or is exchanging rent or other services for sex, please seek help. -FNL Action is a continuous program for 7th-12th graders on Thursday nights from 6:00-7:00. Action is held in the Behavioral Health conference room. This group meets to address issues that youth face and how we can resolve them. We are currently going through the Committed Campaign- decreasing the access of alcohol to minors in Tuolumne County.
-“Be the Change” Challenge Day follow up groups are held on these 3 campuses: Sonora High, Sonora Elementary and Jamestown Elementary. This clubs exist to cultivate positive change on their campuses through addressing bullying behavior and meeting that with love, mediation and peer leadership.
-FNL is now being held at Cassina High School on Wednesdays from 3:00-4:00 in the gym.
-Club Live is on 5 campuses: Sonora Elementary, Summerville Elementary, Twain Harte Elementary, Soulsbyville Elementary and Curtis Creek.
